Funeral Ceremonies

Each of us develops a different set of beliefs about death, but, when someone close dies, we share the same feelings of sadness and loss, and we have the same need for reassurance and comfort. Sorrow is a reflection, and a measure of the happiness, and friendship, that we shared with a loved one. As they say, grief is the price we pay for love.

The funeral is a chance for us to gather to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one. Planning a funeral is the last thing you will do for them, and yet you have to do it when you may well be feeling very shocked and emotional. So that’s when you need a celebrant who will lead you gently but steadily through the process.

Finding out about what your loved one was like, their traits, their interests, funny stories and adventures is always so fascinating, and means that I can write a worthy tribute for the funeral. I've learnt there is no such thing as a boring life, and usually end up wishing I had met the person!  And when I go home after the funeral, I know that I could not have done a more worthwhile day’s work.

We want the funeral to leave you feeling that you have said your final goodbye in the best way you could.
